Invitación para funcionarios de la región MENA, eMarketing en Turism

The World Tourism Organization, its UNWTO. Themis Foundation and the Qatar Tourism Authority invite all high-level decision makers in the National, Regional and Local Tourism Administrations and Organizations from the MENA region to apply for the upcoming executive training programme  on eMarketing in Tourism which will be held in English (with simultaneous translation in Arabic),  in Doha, from 13 to 15 December 2015.

The objective of this executive training programme is to provide participants with knowledge, skills and tools and a forum for discussion about key current issues and practices in eMarketing in Tourism. More specifically, the objective of this training programme is to provide participants with understanding of key concepts in eMarketing and its processes, hands-on experience in the use and application of tools and techniques as well as practical experiences in matching local needs with the UNWTO approaches and methodologies and a network for support and cooperation for the design and implementation of an eMarketing strategies. Upon successful completion of this event, participants will be able to develop and implement an integrated eMarketing strategies, understand and apply key concepts and useful frameworks, oversee and/or apply eMarketing tactics and evaluate and measure success.

In order to achieve above mentioned objectives, combined theoretical-practical methodology will be applied during this executive training programme  in a modular structure. Each of these modules comprises presentations, discussions, debates, group work with case studies and analysis of experiences applicable to the participants, and practical activities which aim at putting in a real situation the content and tools seen during the executive training programme . These activities include practical exercises, group discussions and, depending on the length of the UNWTO.Capacity initiative, could include a technical visit where participants are to conduct fieldwork, interviews, information gathering and other interactive activities with the local community.

A total of 15 officials of UNWTO Members states from MENA region will be selected according to their merits, qualifications, experience, and nomination by the highest authority of its National Tourism Administration.

International candidates wishing to participate in this upcoming UNWTO regional executive training programme in Qatar ought to:

  • reside out of Qatar;
  • be qualified tourism officials from UNWTO Member states for the MENA region;
  • be nominated by their Government with a letter of nomination from the highest authority of their National Tourism Administration (NTA);
  • have a University degree (at least a bachelor’s degree);
  • have high level of English;
  • obtain an international insurance policy which fully covers their stay abroad;
  • be able to share the knowledge they have gained on the topic of the executive training programme  to their Organization/Administration.

National candidates wishing to apply to the UNWTO executive training programme in Qatar should contact directly Qatar Tourism Authority.

In order to apply for the UNWTO regional executive training programme  in Qatar, candidates from the MENA region should:

  • fulfill all above mentioned requirements;
  • complete application eForm;
  • send their letter of motivation to UNWTO indicating which objectives, professional achievements and career goals they would like to achieve with this course, and how this executive training programme  might help them to grow professionally;
  • send the letter of nomination signed by the highest authority of its National Tourism Administration;
  • send copy of his/her passport;
